What is the IMPACT Assessment Tool?

  • An assessment tool to assess how effective you are in managing productivity, identifying key productivity levers to focus on, and recommending areas to improve upon.

  • There are 3 parts to the assessment:
  1. Quantitative Assessment of your organisation’s productivity performance based on key productivity indicators.

  2. Qualitative Assessment your organisation’s productivity activities and productivity levers.

  3. Overall Assessment and Recommendations based on the findings from Part 1 and 2.

Who should conduct the IMPACT Assessment?

  • The assessment should be conducted by top management with productivity managers who are in charge of managing productivity in the organisation.

When do I conduct the IMPACT Assessment?

  • The assessment gives you a clearer picture of where your organisation’s productivity stands, so it will be useful to do the assessment before you set your productivity goals.
  • You can also carry out the assessment on a regular basis (e.g. monthly, quarterly, half-yearly) to monitor your organisation’s productivity improvement progress.

How do I conduct the IMPACT Assessment?

1. Download: IMPACT Assessment Tool in Annex C of Guide To IMPACT (PDF)

2. Use the interactive online IMPACT Assessment

3. Seek help from productivity advisors under the Productivity Management Programme
  1. Prepare the following before you start:
    • Balance Sheet (for 3 years)
    • Profit & Loss Statement (preferably for 12 months)
    • Number of employees during that period – this includes paid employees, working directors/proprietors and unpaid family workers

  2. If you only want to conduct a quantitative assessment of your organisation’s productivity, you can use the online productivity calculator.
